I.R.C.I. regularly
organizes international conferences about Istrian, Dalmatian and Fiuman
literature.
This conference deals
with all literary works written in Italian or in Italian dialects as well as
in Latin as long as the author also wrote works in Italian.
There are no
chronological frameworks or limitations as for the genre.
The results of the
discussions and speeches held on that occasion among 110 academics working in
Italian universities let to the publication of the conference proceedings by
one of the leading Italian publishing houses in the literary branch.

One
of the major historians of eastern Asia had Istrian roots: Luciano Petech lived
in Trieste but was born in Pisino. Petech held the chair of History of eastern
Asia at the Sapienza University in Rome and was one of Giuseppe Tucci’s
disciples.

The
International Conference "The Julian-Dalmatian Exodus in Literature"
is organized by I.R.C.I. in collaboration with the Faculty of Literature and
Philosophy of the University of Trieste and sponsored by the Municipality of
Trieste, Province of Trieste, FVG Region, Italian Professors' Association and
MOD - Italian Society of Literary Modernity.
